The Mixers have been performing their blend of jazz standards and retro-pop classics at public events, private and corporate functions around the Canterbury region for several years. This Christchurch-based trio comprises Jim Coleshaw (sax), Clare Churcher (piano) and Neville Churcher (bass). Jims musical education took place in the UK. He plays both tenor and soprano sax, giving a full palette of tonalities to suit any tune.  widely-travelled and experienced in live performing, Jim brings his unique perspective to the Mixers blend. Clare was initially trained in classical piano, providing an additional dimension to her playing in a wide range of genres. Her qualifications include an ATCL and she is currently studying jazz piano.  Neville is currently a part-time student in the Ara Music Arts programme, having retired in order to spend more time engaging with live music. Whether on electric or acoustic upright bass, or bass guitar, he looks after The Mixers bottom end. For this performance, The Mixers will be joined by special guest Mark Hamilton on drums.
